Music for Peace in Freiburg (Germany) 3-6 october 2019
Our next project will contrast european polychoral music and traditional persian instrumental music. These very different
musical cultures will complement one another in a colourful concert on sunday 6 october 2019 at 4pm in Freiburg. The location will be Maria-Hilf-Kirche, Schützenallee
15, a beautiful baroque style church that is regularly hosting choir concerts.
Choir and instrumentalists will perform venetian renaissance music and polychoral music of later epochs as well as the
famous "Miserere" by Gregorio Allegri. The rich persian culture will be represented by the masterly played Oud, a lute instrument with its characteristic warm and flexible sound. From Isfahan
(Iran) three very special guests will come to enrich this event: Ramin Kardan, Alireza Abdollahi und Mostafa Ahmadi will play iranian-armenian music on the traditional instruments Tar, Setar und
Santur. Free entry, duration approx.75min.
